Eat dots and avoid being eaten by the ghosts. Dots give you points. Prizes multiply your points by 1.5x. Super (purple) dots give you a temporary ability to eat ghosts. During this "super" time your pac creature can also get more points by eating dots. If you are eaten by a ghost you will lose a life and spawn back the the start point with a brief super time so that you don't get eaten again immediately. You will gain additional lives when you reach 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000, and so on points in each level. At the end of each level your final score is calculated. The closer the scores of all the players are, the higher your final group score can be.
Movement control buttons for each player is defined in the setup panel. All pac-players will move in one direction until they are stopped by a wall or until they reach an intersection where they can change heading to the desired heading selected by the player.
Some levels may have ghosts that lay dots. This makes it harder to beat the level as you may think you're done but the ghosts may lay dots on the other side of the maze.
Some levels may also contain "mini mages". These little magicians can do any of the following tasks (although not very often): Teleport, Create walls, Remove walls, Create supers, Create prizes, Create ghosts!
